AMTI User Spotlight: Kwon3D at TWU
There are few people in the world who understand the golf swing as well as Dr. Young-Hoo Kwon.
For over two decades, Dr. Kwon has studied the biomechanics of the golf swing in extensive detail. Since the 1990’s, he has coded his own motion analysis software (Kwon3D) and conducted substantial research on swing mechanics for golfers at the amateur and professional level. Today, the most successful pro golfers from all over the world are traveling to his 3D motion capture lab at Texas Woman’s University to enhance their swing efficiency and maximize their driving distance.
Dr. Kwon has been a long-time user of AMTI force plate systems for his evolving research. His current lab at TWU is equipped with
eight AMTI HPS464508 force plates for golf swing data collection, offering the highest level of measurement accuracy for improving the most elite athletes.
